Creativity Hack #3

Get out and walk! Sketch what you see! (c) Lee E. Kellogg

Exercise=Sleep

10,000 steps they say. For many that is a goal that seems impossible. Most so-called primitive peoples manage about 7 miles a day. That’s about 16,000 steps for the average woman. Very manageable if it’s made a priority. Getting enough exercise will ensure that you sleep well at night.

Sleep is as important as exercise. Without one the other cannot be nor can you be on your A-game creatively. Sleep in a dark room with all electronics in another part of the house. Go to bed early enough to get the sleep you need.

Make exercise easy to do. Saying you are going to run a mile every day when you have never run a mile is self defeating. Rather start by walking around the block, add another block daily. If you are motivated to run, do so slowly.

Over all sleep and exercise are intertwined with your health and your creativity. Keep up on both and you will find creativity flows.
