Permission Granted

Give yourself permission to eat over the Thanksgiving weekend. Food Freedom Days! Then step up and get back to your normal healthy diet.

You are eating a good diet, right?! Lots of intensely colored plants, greens, deep colored veggies, and protein. Stay away from processed foods, alcohol and sugar. Do that daily and eat in a time restricted window of 8-12 hours daily. That will help your body recover from the holiday excess and moderate the weight gain. Odd as this sounds, if you do not regularly eat enough food daily, your body will start to store what you do eat incase there are days upcoming where there isn’t enough food. Feed yourself with enough food, enough, but not too much. As Michael Pollan says, “Eat food. Mostly plants. Just not too much.”

Drink half your weight in ounces in water daily

Walk several times daily.

Eat in a time window of 8-12 hours

Sleep well

Avoid alcohol, sugar and processed foods

Follow these five simple things and you should make it through the holidays just fine.

Do enjoy the feasts but be simple the rest of the time.

Speaking of good food:

viele Rezepte is a very fun recipe/cooking YouTube channel, the videos are well done, a pleasure to watch. Easy to understand English subtitles. You can make any of these dishes!
