November Musings
There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long range risks of comfortable inaction.—John F. Kennedy
November is upon us and the holidays are rapidly approaching. Many of us are working on craft projects for gifts or to decorate our homes. I have been teaching needle felting at the local yarn shop. It has been a blast making gnomes with holiday themes. January will have us working on a large felted dragon. I am also inspired by a line up of knitted vegetables that I saw at the yarn store.
How are your goals for 2023 coming? If you need help with this process let me know. I have my goal down, and the mind map created. It’s super full of tasks and who knows if I will get through them. All are based on creating a body of work with a theme that will work well together. These winter months are going to be my art and creating months. Get the work put together, then move on to the next steps!
Doing art daily is one of my goals. I participated in Inktober this year, completing 30 of the 31 drawings. So far I have painted daily, which is huge for me. I will admit that it’s easy for me to miss a day or three. In orders to reach goals however, we must do the daily work. You can follow @inktober on Instagram.
Want to add muscle which by the very nature of the beast means you will lose fat. But to add muscle you have to lift weights, stress those muscles so they build up stronger.
If you want to be better bread baker you have to bake lots of loaves of bread. If you want to be a great jeweler you have to make lots of jewelry. Art, music, math, languages, what ever all require work. And really, it’s all hard work, you just to get to choose which end result you will achieve.
