Gift Giving

Put yourself on the list, at the top!

Self care is a super good gift to give yourself. We all like to be everything for our family yet we tend to ignore ourselves. Take yourself off to the spa for a day. In Santa Fe I love Ten Thousand Waves up towards the ski basin. Here in Bend, I want to spend a weekend at Sunriver Resort and indulge in their spa. It’s out of town  just a bit as is Ten Thousand Waves, which makes it feel like you are on a mini vacation. Even an in town massage at a local spa or health center is amazing.

My health practitioner has two LMTs on staff that I am rapidly getting to know. Getting regular massages was something I did many years ago and now want to see if I can manage a once a month session.

Random acts of kindness: why not spread some random cheer? Take $25 in fives and pass the fives out to 5 random people or put the $5 under a windshield wiper or something similar. Wouldn’t it be fun to be on the receiving end of a fiver? Research has shown that givers actually get amazing physical benefits from gift giving.

Complement 5 people today, just random positive things - fun scarf, outfit, hat, etc.

Pay it forward at the coffee shop, buy the person behind you in line their coffee. No one there, tip the barista that amount.
