What I Am Playing with Now
Watercolor with a bit of pearl watercolor, plastic wrap smushed on top of colors while wet and left in place to dry
I got a couple of new Daniel Smith granulating paints so I have been exploring them, working them into my palettes.
My tiny Art Tool kits palette I received at Christmas is still empty. I have played with colors to put in it and am not happy with those choices. It will sit until I feel inspired to fill it with a good selection of colors for traveling.
The Magic of Watercolor is a new class I will be teaching at the Sisters Public Library in May. I am tinkering around with different techniques to teach beginners. I am also ruminating on starting a monthly watercolor class in Sisters. Have to wait and see how the upcoming chemo messes with me.
Collage and art journaling with acrylics keep calling me. I want to do a deep purge of my craft room but the siren call of collaging is persistent. The materials are there waiting for me when I am ready!
Knitting, I have gotten back into knitting. Just finished a scarf, knit in the round. I did a pair of slippers for the local yarn shop just before Christmas. I have so much yarn, yes I have that crafty stash issue too! Getting it started soon would be best.
