February Thoughts
My Peony growing like it’s May!
As February roles around we all are wondering what happened to January! Happier for the longer days and the hardy bulbs peeking out of the ground. Even my lilac bushes have fat buds on them. My peonies are inches high and I have to roll them out of the garage daily for sunshine. They are not quite hardy enough to be in the ground in my chilly east side of the Oregon Cascades environment.
All this growth gives me hope and encouragement for the coming spring and summer. A wet front has graced us with more moisture, refreshing the snow for skiing. While I speak of flowers coming along, I am still in ski mode. I do enjoy winter sports as much as summer ones!
I start a new chemo treatment on February 4. Might lose my hair again and most likely do lots of acupuncture to keep the nerves happy and prevent neuropathy. Such fun! I am hoping that this treatment will be quick and do the job. I am very ready to get living again. The desire to be in shape, play outdoors as much as possible and teach art is very strong. Third time is the charm!
What is your strong desire? What lights you up and makes you happy?
